Patrick has worked in the third sector for over 30 years, launching 12 successful charities and social enterprises including:

  • Essential Trading Co-operative (Bristol)
  • Findhorn Eco Village (Scotland)
  • Living Technologies (Scotland)
  • Worklife Support (London)

His background in service and technology innovation, strategic planning and business development led to setting up Connect Assist in 2006. As well as running Connect Assist he regularly speaks and consults on a range of charity issues: service delivery, supporter care, digital services and fundraising. He lectures on social enterprise for Cardiff Metropolitan University and others.

Patrick chose South Wales as our location because he has always been interested in finding talent. Having previously worked in Swansea, he felt that in South Wales, there were naturally talented people for whom there were few opportunities created.

Patrick is focused on creating social and environmental benefit, and he’s proud that Connect Assist not only provides great services to people who need them but also that we provide much needed employment and development opportunities for our growing number of employees at our base in the Welsh valleys.
